God.. ?
yeah.. yeah.. i know its been a really long time since my last post..
this time round though.. i have a kinda hot debate for ya'll
May the FORCE be with you..? (no this is nothin to do with Star Wars)
But in reality is there ANY Force?
The one question that keeps following me is that whether a supreme force, all-powering omni-present even exists.. or is just a fiction of our imaginaton blown outta proportion.. I know i'm soundin like an atheist, but truly speakin, I am..
My point of argument is that if there is God, why do they say, your destiny is in your hands?.. I mean who can believe stories like Lance Armstrong, having a cancer, coing back and then winning the longest cycle race in the world, not once, not twice..
And then there's a part where the Devil, Satan comes into picture. Anything wrong happens, blame it on him, anything good happens, praise the Lord???
Is it some kinda game where humans are meager toys in a fight between good and bad, God and Satan?
Ok, for a moment, even if we conclude that there is some superpower guiding each one of us, where does the question come of Praising him, counting His blessings and Thanking Him for 'em? If He is a superpower, and guiding each one of us, then there is absolutely no need to Praise Him, right?.. and since we dont have any means to see Him, or Feel Him, we start worshipping Idols??? How ill-logical and something so baseless??
And so he guides everyone, meaning good or bad..? will He guide you?.. Now they say, its Satan who guides the mis-deeds of humans..? Why? Or is it just that its a dual-identity playin games with us? What about the terrorists?. who guides them, they do it in the name of Religion, for crying out loud... what religion do they follow, do they praise the Devil, is that their religion?.. or is it just mis-interpretation of what is written in the Religious Books?
Coming to Religious Books, what do they tell you in the end, that all powers lie within you, dormant, oyu just have to wake them up.. good or bad, you have to decide.. plus whats good for one, may be ridiculous for someone else. then who guides these two individuals? Same Him, or one by Him and one by His other half?
I dont mean to hurt anyone's feeling here, neither do i want to shake anyone's faith, but i'd like to know - there must be something that pushes you to believe in Him, praise Him.. - what is it..? or is it just somethin your parents told you to do and the whole world does it, so even I will- kinda attitude?..

There are many things unexplained concerning life, universe and everything. Some call this 'X', some call it 'Alpha', some call it 'God'. Therefore the mere idea of god varies from person to person.
Regarding religion, IMHO it is a way to understand that idea and religious books direct one to look the way they do. Religion, however, is misinterpreted. Maybe that is what you were refering to when you spoke about the actions of terrorists. The concept of 'God' and 'Satan' as two distinct entities is an attempt to humanise the idea of 'God' to make it more understandable to the common man.
Regarding destiny, that again is a matter of belief which varies from each person.
Now whether one believes in god or not, one cannot deny the fact that there exist some unanswered questions: who are we, why are we here, what is the purpose of our existence, who created the universe, will india win the world cup, etc...
If we find an answer to all these, maybe that is the day when we'll know who is this god person everyone is talking about!
I can give no explanation for why i believe in God... i simply do...
Man has been worshipping believing in God since the stone age because he believes that a stronger force exists... something more powerful than him something that is beyond the ordinary someone superhuman....
God has exaggerated attributes but yet is given a human form it is not to make him human but it is so that the beliefs and faith in a larger force can take a shape which can be used to guide you... in the end anything may drive you into doing a deed but it is the God within you that tells you your path...it is upto you to decide whether to take it or not.
OK This is what i believe.You are born with a destiny...Somethin that ur supposed to do....That comes from god.it's ur job to discover your destiny.Everythin else in ur life is up to u.If ur meant to be a Tom cruise and instead follow engg it'll eat at u till u realise wat ur supposed to do.Religious fanctics r always there.but they use religion as an agenda to get wat they want.For every osama we get a mother teresa too.for every hitler we have a mahatma gandhi too..God is here because u have a part to play in the grand scheme of things...And god definetly exists....if things go bad it's not to be blamed on god....it's to learn....pain is ur ultimate teacher...a broken relationship can teach u the value of havin someone.....I believe god exists cos i pray to him when i'm in trouble and many times they have been answered...i know specific instances where it's helped so i know he's there......
one more observation is.. in the olden, i mean very olden days, people worshipped all the powers that they felt, they saw.. the Sun (Fire), Earth(prithvi), Water(jal), Air(Vayu).. later, they worshipped money (Laxmi - as Hinduism followers know it). they worshipped those things which benefitted them in some way or the other.. then where does the question of God come.. nobody has seen Him, felt Him..
@salil - there are so many abstract questions in life, we cannot answer.. thats right and probably once v find a link, we might know who He is, whether there is any He also or not..
back to religion, Christians believe in Christ, Islam in Allah, etc etc.. then why the concept of Singular God.. and what religion gives its messiah no name.. or a commonly accepted name? none.. right? Hindus specially believe in so many of them - one very baseless thought - pray to Ganesha for knowledge, Laxmi for money,and so on and so forth.. why..
@rohan - if u say that u r destined to b Tom Cruise and stuck in Engg, u get uneasy.. what u r basically saying is if u r not on yr destined path, u wont succeed or not be satisfied.. right?.. that still holds that u r mere puppets in the hands of God,. and he is the ultimate Master of Puppets?
@Sandnya - what yr saying is God guides you, but if u think, its you yrself guiding yr actions, two forces that guide yr actions are (as rohan would agree) PAIN and PLEASURE.. yr actions are based on yr conscious or sub-conscious ideas as to what yr actions would lead to - eliminatng pain, or gaining pleasure -why give credit to someone else for good things and why curse someone for something bad?..
i'll be postin many of my abstract feelings here, so continue writin
things go bad it's not to be blamed on god....it's to learn....?

i doesnt have to do with puppets.God has a plan for all of us..but it's not enforced on anyone to follow the rule...that's free will.otherwise it would be a movie...and my destined path is what will make me happy...and that's wat i want in the end...happiness...wat's wrong with followin the path that brings happiness and joy to u and everyone else....why should i tread some weird path if the one that fulfills me most is right in front of me..
as to the second thing i'll praise the lord because i believe that he has a hand in my success and failure is usually cos u haven't tried enough..god helps those who help themselves..that's why many prayers go unanswered...cos u havent given it ur all...when u do and success is out of reach then HE gives ya a little nudge..why do u think most miracles happen in the most stressful situations...like praytin for a loved 1 in hospital...beacause then u cant do anythin abt it...and ur prayers are extremely sincere...it needs both for prayers to be answered....
Destined Path.. how do u know u have a destined path.. and what is it? again on destiny - i believe there's no fixed destiny - the best description i've got till now is that "Destiny is like a corridor with many doors - u walk through one and it follows to another corridor" - its not just a one way - i believe one makes his/her own destiny - yr choices, yr decisions and u yrself are the sole master of yr life.

May be we are all just Puppets.
U cannot even control any action to its minutest details...everytime its a different game. We all together act on instinct and thats what we are meant to be...consequences are well calulated by the master of the puppets. We are just humanly forms to thinking machines with zero innovative visualization capacity. Well, Satan and God are one n the same...The master...of the puppets.
